In today’s video we’re going to teach you a great face mask that can help get rid of splotches and lessen the appearance of scars, all while making your skin glow.
This recipe calls for one special ingredient which is both easy to find and cheap.
The first ingredient is rice powder, an ingredient that has been used for hundreds of years in some countries in Asia as an anti-aging treatment.
This powder is rich in vitamins and minerals, and can nurture and exfoliate your skin in order to remove splotches. In Feudal Japan, it was frequently used by geishas to make their skin look like porcelain and reduce hyperpigmentation, as well as protecting against UV rays and premature aging.
Rice powder can absorb the oil from our skin, making it great for people who are acne prone. It also contains anti-inflammatory and lightening properties, making it great at reducing the appearance of sun exposure.
Here’s the recipe:
1 cup of raw rice or rice powder;
Milk or honey (enough to make a paste);
If you can’t find any rice powder, you can even use grains of rice. In that case, start by putting the rice in a blender;
Blend for two minutes until it forms a flour-like substance;
Sift the flour;
This amount of rice yields a lot, so store the rest in a glass jar for future applications;
Mix 2 tablespoons of the rice flour with a little milk or honey;
Apply the mixture to your skin and massage, gently;
Let the mask dry and then rinse it off with plenty of water.
If your skin is oily, you can repeat this application more than once a week. If your skin is dry, then once a week should be enough.
But before applying, you should do an allergy test. Apply a small amount of the mixture to the arm and see if any allergic reaction occurs. If you are not irritated, you can use it normally.
